Week 19 MKE – The Power of Mind

We have come to believe that there is Mind and there is Physical.  We are now beginning to understand that Mind is the cause and Physical is the effect.  This all starts with the Universal Mind (God) and as we align with His thinking we have His Power.  The key thought from this lesson to me is the following:

“You may know that thought constantly, eternally is taking form, is forever seeking expression, or you may not, but the fact remains that if your thought is powerful, constructive, and positive, this will be plainly evident in the state of your health, your business, and your environment; if your thought is weak, critical, destructive and negative generally, it will manifest in your body as fear, worry, and nervousness, in your finance as lack and limitation, and in discordant conditions in your environment.

All wealth is the offspring of power; possessions are of value only as they confer power. Events are significant only as they affect power; all things represent certain forms and degrees of power.”

So we need to develop this power in our own minds.  I have been engaged this last week with a SIT and think time each day as well as the affirmations that help me believe that I am Powerful.  Here is the affirmation, “I am Complete, Perfect, Strong, POWERFUL, Loving, Harmonious and HAPPY.”

After 19 weeks with MKE I am feeling stronger about who I am and my wife is seeing a more loving and caring husband. All my relationships have improved.  I love knowing and feeling that I am POWERFUL and completely in charge of my life.  Life is all about the mind and our thinking.

Week 18 MKE – “The Law of Attraction”

This has been the focus for this week.  Below is a summary of the key points of this weeks lesson.

“In order to grow we must obtain what is necessary for our growth. This is brought about through the law of attraction.  This principle is the sole means by which the individual is differentiated from the Universal.  Think for a moment, what would a man be if he were not a husband, father, or brother, if he were not interested in the social, economical, political or religious world. He would be nothing but an abstract theoretical ego. He exists, therefore, only in his relation to the whole, in his relation to other men, in his relation to society. This relation constitutes his environment and in no other way.  It is evident, therefore, that the individual is simply the differentiation of the one Universal Mind “which lighteth every man that cometh into the world,” and his so- called individuality or personality consists of nothing but the manner in which he relates with the whole.  This we call his environment and is brought about by the law of attraction.”

law-of-attractionHow does this Law of Attraction work?  I think it is that we attract what we think about…. if we are in tune with the Universal Mind (God).  Yes if you want abundance in your life this is what you need to think about.  That means you need an abundant mentality and NOT a scarcity mentality which most of us have.  You must also clear you mind from ALL negative, which most of see everywhere.  Negative is everywhere, communicated by the news and most people you meet.  This keeps the Law of Attraction from delivering what we want.  The Law is always in effect and so with negativity and scarcity we are delivered just that.

The Law of Attraction works with the Law of Growth and delivers what we think about, good or bad.  So think better, avoid negativity and scarcity and the Universal Mind will deliver to you either abundance of NOT.  It is up to you.  The other factor that plays in the Law of Growth is The Law of Giving.  To get more we need to Give More.

After 18 weeks of MKE study, I am beginning to understand and put into operations the Seven Laws of the Mind to see myself as…. “Whole, Perfect, Strong, Powerful, Loving, Harmonious and HAPPY”.  I am feeling it and seeing more happiness now in my life.

Week 17 HJ – The Hero’s Journey

This is the journey that many of us would like to take, and are preparing for.  See the picture below:

What keeps us from this journey?  We do not know we are “nature’s greatest miracle” and as such if we stay in harmony with “Nature’s Laws”, God’s Laws we need not fear but move forward with great enthusiasm.  We were conceived in Love and brought forth with purpose and Nature makes no mistakes.  I just love the affirmation about myself that I am Whole, Perfect, Strong, Powerful, Loving, Harmonious and HAPPY.  This is who we are and we need to teach ourselves this important truth.

Lesson 17 makes these points very clearly.

“Remember that fundamentally the subconscious is omnipotent; there is no limit to the things that can be done when it is given the power to act. Your degree of success is determined by the nature of your desire. If the nature of your desire is in harmony with Natural Law or the Universal Mind, it will gradually emancipate the mind and give you invincible courage.

Every obstacle conquered, every victory gained, will give you more faith in your power, and you will have greater ability to win. Your strength is determined by your mental attitude; if this attitude is one of success, and is permanently held with an unswerving purpose, you will attract to you from the invisible domain the things you silently demand.

By keeping the thought in mind, it will gradually take tangible form. A definite purpose sets causes in motion which go out in the invisible world and find the material necessary to serve your purpose.”

With these thoughts in mind, we can have the faith to enter the UNKNOWN knowing that all things are possible.  So once we understand our life’s purpose and comply with Nature’s Laws we are predetermined to be successful.  Come on the journey with me.

Week 17 – MKE – “Created in God’s image to have dominion over all things”

The very most important thing we need dominion over is out THOUGHTS.  This is what makes us “Nature’s greatest miracle”, we can Think.  The right kinds of continuous good thoughts can program our subconscious which is our most direct connection to God AND the brain that makes over 95% of our decisions.  So to have dominion over all things we must start with our own thinking.

From Lesson 17 we are told that Man has “dominion over all things”; this dominion is established through Mind. Thought is the activity which controls every principle beneath it. The highest principle by reason of its superior essence and qualities necessarily determines the circumstances, aspects, and relation of everything with which it comes in contact. The vibrations of mental forces are the finest and consequently the most powerful in existence. To those who perceive the nature and transcendence of mental force, all physical power sinks into insignificance.  We are accustomed to look upon the Universe with a lens of five senses, and from these experiences our anthropomorphic conceptions originate, but true conceptions are only secured by spiritual insight. This insight requires a quickening of the vibrations of the Mind, and is only secured when the mind is continuously concentrated in a given direction.  Continuous concentration means an even, unbroken flow of thought and is the result of patient, persistent, persevering and well-regulated system.

This is easier said than done. Life gives us continuous distractions and you need more than just good intentions.  Part of training my brain is the need for quiet periods without distraction every day.  Meditation, prayer, affirmations, and other thought activities to train the subconscious brain to form new and better habits.  Habits that I want, like kindness, patience, faith, courage, etc.

I know that I am “Whole, Perfect, Strong, Powerful, Loving, Harmonious, and Happy” and  I tell myself this multiple times every day.  I hope my subconscious brain is catching on.  I think it is.

Week 16 MKE – Kindness…find it NOW

This last week I was challenged to focus on the Christlike attribute of Kindness.  To look for occasions to express kindness in my acts and look for it in others.  Specifically doing acts that make others jobs easier and find a few ways each day that you can do an act of kindness, surprising a person and not letting them know it was you who performed the act.

zoe ferguson

It was a wonderful week and saw kindness everywhere and focused on my own active participation in these acts.  As we all know kindness starts with our thoughts.  Below is a short article I found which is right in line with the MKE program and my thinking:

“Thinking kind thoughts is a Christlike attribute. Kindness originates in hearts and minds. A lack of kindness can begin with critical thoughts of others, and it can develop into a habit of finding fault. However, if we accept responsibility for our own reactive thinking, we can become more charitable. Rather than judging others, we grow in understanding and kindness.  Kindness in the home, workplace, church, and school can open passages to hearts that have been blocked with misunderstandings. Showing kindness to others allows them to let go of angry feelings so they can focus on real issues. Kindness helps us and others feel acceptance and gain confidence.”

Here is a few significant points made in this weeks MKE lesson around the need to keep our minds focused on good, wholesome thought, like kindness.

“If our thought is constructive and harmonious we manifest good; if it is destructive and discordant we manifest evil.  If you desire to visualize a different environment, the process is simply to hold the ideal in mind, until your vision has been made real; give no thought to persons, places or things; these have no place in the absolute; the environment you desire will contain everything necessary; the right persons, and the right things will come at the right time and in the right place.”

“It is sometimes not plain how character, ability, attainment, achievement, environment and destiny can be controlled through the power of visualization, but this is an exact scientific fact.  You will readily see that what we think determines the quality of mind, and that the quality of mind in turn determines our ability and mental capacity, and you can readily understand that the improvement in our ability will naturally be followed by increase in attainment and a greater control of circumstances.”

“It will thus be seen that Natural laws work in a perfectly natural and harmonious manner; everything seems to “just happen.” If you want any evidence of this fact simply compare results of your efforts in your own life, when your actions were prompted by high ideals and when you had selfish or ulterior motives in mind. You will need no further evidence.”

I continue the goal this week of constantly having Christlike thoughts in my mind.  This will be helped by continuing to l look for KINDNESS in the world around me and look for opportunities to act it out as well.
